The Ministry of Public Infrastructure Renewal oversees the Ontario Realty Corporation (ORC). The ORC is the strategic manager of the government's real property, on behalf of the owner of the assets, the Minister of Public Infrastructure Renewal. The services provided by the ORC include expert strategic real estate advice and solutions to the government and customer ministries/agencies to optimize the value and utility of the government's real estate, identify efficiencies, savings and cost-effective solutions for accommodation requirements and identify revenue opportunities.

The ORC manages a vast and diverse portfolio of approximately 6,000 buildings representing roughly 52-million square feet of space (44-million owned; 8-million leased from third-party owners), and 90-thousand acres of land, including hydro transmission corridors.
