  1. What does MEI do?
    The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MEI) is the central agency responsible for managing infrastructure planning and priority setting for the Government of Ontario. It works with other Ontario ministries and partners to ensure that the stock of public infrastructure assets in Ontario is maintained in a state of good repair and meets the needs of a growing population and economy. MEI works with these ministries to ensure the government’s investments in the key areas of growth planning, transportation, education, health and the environment deliver the intended results. PIR is also responsible for:
    Collaborating with the ministries to develop policy and plans for growth
    Managing certain key provincial assets – the Ontario Realty Corporation, and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
