Much of Ontario’s economic success and quality of life depends on an integrated transportation system composed of public transit, well-maintained provincial highways, local roads and bridges, and efficient border gateways. That’s why the Province dedicated $11.4 billion to transportation in its Renew Ontario five-year infrastructure investment plan announced in May 2005.
It is also why in the 2006 Ontario budget, the government introduced Move Ontario, a $1.2 billion investment in public transit, roads and bridges.
