The McGuinty government is ensuring that the Greater Golden Horseshoe can attract new businesses and support a high quality of life for residents with the final Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, released today by Minister of Public Infrastructure Renewal David Caplan. [News Release]

The Ontario government released the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe on June 16 in Mississauga, at a high profile media event, hosted by the Canadian Urban Institute. Guests included municipal officials from throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe and key stakeholders from the urban planning, development and environmental sectors.

Minister Caplan presented commemorative plaques to David Crombie, CEO and President of the Canadian Urban Institute and Mayor Hazel McCallion of Mississauga for their strong support of the plan throughout its development.
