Province's Downsview Lands New Site Of State-Of-The-Art Humber River Regional Hospital

“This is an essential part of our plan to rebuild and modernize hospitals across Ontario to reduce wait times and improve access to top-quality care. … we’re investing more than $5 billion in health care infrastructure over five years – the largest investment in more than a generation,” said Minister of David Caplan.

“We’re very excited about the opportunity this provides to our community,” said Dr. Rueben Devlin, president & CEO of Humber River Regional Hospital. “This is an important next step in the planning for our new acute care facility, one that will reach into our community and provide a wide range of medical services as close to home as possible."
